Are your backed LINUX server secure? (You DO have them somewhere!)

Half the world runs on Linux and VMWare warns that cybersecurity attacks against Linux is on the rise, how does this affect you and what can you do?

Even in Windows environments portions of software often run on Linux in the background, usually on cloud servers. Attacks on Linux upstream of your applications can result in your own environment getting backed.

Here’s the thing: most Linux servers I see use default security standards. Those are better than Windows but they aren’t NEARLY what is possible with even a cursory security review.

If you run Linux inside your business ask a LINUX specialized cybersecurity expert to review its security. Ask your vendors if they use it, when the last time THEY audited it was, and what the results were. Small preventative things TODAY will stop a hack TOMORROW.
